GENOCIDE IN GAZA – CONDEMNATION IS NOT ENOUGH, HARSH ACTIONS MUST BE TAKEN AGAINST ISRAEL

MAJLIS PERUNDINGAN PERTUBUHAN ISLAM MALAYSIA (MAPIM)

The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) strongly asserts that mere condemnation of Israel’s genocide in Gaza is insufficient. The ongoing massacre of Palestinians, with the full support of the United States, demands concrete and decisive measures to hold Israel accountable.

STRONGER ACTIONS AGAINST ISRAEL ARE REQUIRED

We call upon the Malaysian government, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the United Nations (UN) to go beyond statements of condemnation and take immediate action, including:

1. ECONOMIC AND DIPLOMATIC SANCTIONS

Full boycott of companies supporting Israel – The Malaysian government must expand the list of companies banned from operating or receiving contracts.

Sever all trade relations with Israel – Stricter enforcement is needed to block any indirect business dealings.

Pressure on pro-Israel countries – OIC nations should consider diplomatic disengagement with governments complicit in Israel’s war crimes.

2. HARSHER DIPLOMATIC MEASURES

Expulsion of Israeli diplomats from Muslim countries – Islamic nations must cut all diplomatic ties with Israel.

Push for UN sanctions against Israel – Malaysia must lead efforts to impose global sanctions and ensure that Israel faces legal consequences for its crimes.

Prosecution of Israeli leaders at the International Criminal Court (ICC) – War crime evidence must be compiled to initiate trials against Israeli officials.

3. MILITARY AND HUMANITARIAN RESPONSE

Military support for Palestine’s defense – Muslim nations must consider logistical and technological assistance for Palestinian resistance.

Mass humanitarian convoys to Gaza – Instead of limited aid shipments, an international coalition must organize large-scale humanitarian interventions to force Israel to lift its blockade.

4. GLOBAL MUSLIM AND CIVIL SOCIETY MOBILIZATION

Strengthening the role of OIC and Arab League – These organizations must move beyond rhetoric and implement strategic actions against Israel.

Worldwide protests and government pressure – Civil movements must continue pressuring their governments to take decisive stances.

ISRAEL MUST BE STOPPED – THE WORLD CANNOT REMAIN SILENT

MAPIM firmly declares that Israel will only cease its atrocities when it faces real consequences—economic, diplomatic, and military. Malaysia, as a leading voice for Palestinian rights, must spearhead global efforts to impose serious punitive measures on Israel.

Enough with mere condemnation—decisive action is needed now.
