(“And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you—when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together, and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make His signs clear to you that you may be guided.”) (Ali ‘Imran: 103)
Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,
All praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), his family, and his companions.
Eid Mubarak. May Allah accept all your deeds in your efforts to be His devoted servants on His path.
I extend my greetings to you all with prayers for Allah’s blessings and guidance in your noble efforts to lead the Ummah in the service of Islam.
I write to you with a heart heavy with sorrow and urgency. As the leaders of our sacred places of worship, you hold immense influence over the hearts and minds of the Muslim Ummah. At this critical juncture in history, your role has never been more vital.
The suffering of our brothers and sisters in Gaza and across Palestine has reached unimaginable depths. Every day, they endure relentless bombardment, starvation, and occupation. Children are torn from their families, homes reduced to rubble, and an entire population faces extermination before the eyes of the world. Yet, in the face of this horror, their resilience remains unshaken. They stand firm in resistance, refusing to surrender their right to freedom, dignity, and justice. It is our duty as Muslims to stand with them—not just in prayer, but in action.
We call upon every Masjid in every city and village across the world to carry this message to their congregations. Let no community remain unaware of the suffering in Palestine. Reach out to the two billion Muslims worldwide—unite their voices, their resources, and their will to support the resistance. Our silence and inaction are no longer an option. The liberation of Palestine is an obligation upon us all.
As we celebrate Eid, we must remember that this is not just a time of festivity but a moment to awaken the consciousness of the Ummah. The joy of our celebrations is incomplete while our brothers and sisters in Palestine continue to suffer. This Eid must serve as a call to action, a reminder that every Muslim has a role to play in the struggle for justice. The message of Eid is one of unity, sacrifice, and solidarity—values that we must uphold as we stand with the oppressed. Let our Eid gatherings be filled with prayers for Palestine, discussions on how to support their struggle, and commitments to do whatever is possible to aid their cause. Whether through financial aid, advocacy, education, or direct action, every Muslim must contribute to the effort to free Palestine.
Furthermore, the liberation of Al-Aqsa is paramount. Al-Aqsa is not just a mosque; it is a symbol of our faith, our identity, and our collective responsibility. It is under siege, desecrated by oppression, and threatened by those who seek to erase its sanctity. We must unite as an Ummah in its defense. Every Muslim, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, or sect, must recognize that the defense of Al-Aqsa is a sacred duty. The occupation of Al-Aqsa is an attack on all of us, and its liberation must be at the forefront of our struggle.
We must rise to support the resistance in every way possible—politically, financially, and through unwavering solidarity. Every resource at our disposal must be mobilized to challenge oppression and dismantle the occupation. This is not just a Palestinian struggle; it is the struggle of the entire Ummah, of all who believe in justice and human dignity.
We must not allow ourselves to be divided by sectarianism, nationalism, or external influences that seek to weaken us. Unity is our greatest strength, and it is only through collective effort that we can liberate Palestine. A divided Ummah is a defeated Ummah. Only through absolute commitment and shared purpose can we achieve the liberation of Palestine and the protection of Al-Aqsa.
Imams of the world, let your pulpits be the voice of the oppressed. Let your congregations be the hands that uplift the suffering. Lead by example, and let history record that when Gaza bled, the Ummah did not stand idly by.
May Allah grant us strength, unity, and victory in this noble cause.
