To the People of the United States of America and the United Kingdom,

Open Letter

I write to you today not as an adversary but as a fellow human being, deeply pained and anguished by the suffering of the Palestinian people. We Muslims, along with millions of people of conscience around the world, are witnessing an unspeakable tragedy unfolding in Gaza. We see the obliteration of entire neighborhoods, the lifeless bodies of toddlers and children pulled from the rubble, and mothers who perish with their babies in their arms. This is not just another chapter in a long conflict; this is the systematic destruction of a people, enabled by the very governments that represent you.

Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, a time meant for peace, reflection, and compassion, your governments continued to provide Israel with the political, military, and financial backing to execute its relentless assault on Gaza. As we fasted and prayed for mercy, bombs rained down on homes, hospitals, and places of worship. The cries of children filled the air, yet the world remained silent. And now, as we were supposed to celebrate Eid—a day of joy and unity—we instead mourn yet again. On this very day, nine more innocent lives were taken in Gaza, and your governments had a direct hand in it.

To the people of America and Britain, I ask you—how can you tolerate this massacre? How can you watch the systematic destruction of a people and do nothing? Silence in the face of such atrocities is not neutrality; it is complicity. If you remain passive while your leaders arm and support those who commit these crimes, history will not absolve you. It will remember your inaction as complicity in the suffering of the innocent.

You are not powerless. You are the voices that elect your governments, that hold the power to demand change, to protest against injustice, and to refuse to have innocent blood spilled in your name. You need to act—and act to the maximum possible. Half-measures and empty condemnations will not suffice. This is a moment that defines moral clarity.

We are calling on you—one more time—to stop your governments. Do not let them continue to fuel this genocide. Do not let history remember you as silent witnesses to one of the greatest atrocities of our time. If you cherish justice, if you value human life, then now is the moment to act.

Speak out. Demand that your leaders end their unconditional support for Israel’s aggression. Pressure your representatives to stop funding the destruction of Gaza. Stand in solidarity with the oppressed. For if you fail to act, this injustice will not stop with Palestine—it will set a dangerous precedent for the future of humanity.

You must be on the right side of history. Future generations will look back at this moment and judge whether you stood for justice or turned a blind eye to mass suffering. Your inaction will be recorded. Do not let history write your role as one of complicity and moral failure.

The choice is yours. Will you stand for justice, or will you allow this darkness to continue in your name?
