The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organization (MAPIM) demands that the United Nations (UN), World Health Organization (WHO), International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Arab League, and all relevant international humanitarian agencies apply maximum and immediate pressure on the Israeli regime to open all land crossings and border points into Gaza.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached an intolerable level. The ongoing blockade and military aggression have created a catastrophic environment, where hospitals are shut down, essential medicines are depleted, and critically injured civilians are left without treatment.
MAPIM stresses the following:
- Blocking humanitarian aid is a crime under international law and constitutes collective punishment against a civilian population.
- The international community must no longer remain silent in the face of such deliberate and inhumane tactics used by the Israeli occupation to break the will of the Palestinian people.
- The UN and its agencies must activate emergency mechanisms and use all available diplomatic and legal tools to force open humanitarian access without conditions or delays.
- The Arab League must rise to the occasion, go beyond verbal condemnations, and implement real measures of pressure through political, economic, and strategic means.
We call on all international actors to:
- Immediately demand and enforce the opening of border crossings for the entry of humanitarian convoys, medical supplies, and critical fuel for hospitals.
- Dispatch independent observers and humanitarian missions to ensure transparent and unimpeded access.
- Hold the Israeli regime accountable at the International Criminal Court (ICC) for deliberately obstructing aid and committing war crimes against civilians.
MAPIM reaffirms its unwavering solidarity with the people of Gaza and calls upon the global ummah and civil society to raise their voices and take urgent action in defense of life, dignity, and justice.
The time to act is now. Every hour of delay costs lives.
