MAPIM FULLY SUPPORTS BRAZIL’S CALL FOR THE IMMEDIATE WITHDRAWAL OF ISRAELI OCCUPATION FORCES FROM GAZA
The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) expresses its full and unwavering support for the firm and courageous call made by Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira for the immediate withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from Gaza during the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held in Rio de Janeiro.
This action marks a bold and dignified step by a global power that is rising to reject international hypocrisy and the longstanding bias that shields the atrocities of the Zionist regime. MAPIM regards Brazil’s stance as a voice of universal humanity, worthy of emulation by all nations.
Minister Vieira’s statement that “Israel’s continued bombing of Gaza and the obstruction of humanitarian aid are unacceptable” reflects the urgency of global action against the blatant war crimes committed by Israel.
MAPIM welcomes the key demands outlined by Vieira, namely:
- The complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza;
- The release of all captives and detainees; and
- Unhindered access to humanitarian aid.
MAPIM affirms that the withdrawal of Israeli forces is not only a political necessity but also a moral and humanitarian imperative. The occupation of Gaza must end immediately.
We call upon the Malaysian government, as well as all OIC and ASEAN member states, to:
Officially endorse Brazil’s position;
Take proactive steps in international forums to demand the withdrawal of Israeli forces; and
Propose coordinated military action to defend the people of Gaza should Israel continue to refuse withdrawal.
The Palestinian people have suffered for far too long. The world must no longer remain a passive spectator to genocide.
Long live Palestine! Free Gaza! Withdraw Israeli Troops Now!
