Netanyahu Mobilises Criminal Gangs to Target Civilians: Public Admission of Paid Crimes Warrants Urgent ICC Action
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has openly admitted to mobilising and paying criminal elements to carry out violent acts targeting civilians in Gaza. This shocking revelation constitutes a blatant confession of state-sponsored terrorism and a grave violation of international law.
Netanyahu’s admission underscores the systematic and premeditated nature of Israel’s war crimes, including the targeting of innocent civilians, the use of mercenaries, and the orchestration of terror campaigns under the guise of state security. These actions meet the threshold for prosecution under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC) for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and incitement to genocide.
The international community, civil society organisations, and legal institutions must not remain silent. The time for action is now.
We demand the following urgent steps from the International Criminal Court:
- Immediate issuance of an arrest warrant against Benjamin Netanyahu for authorising and funding violent operations against civilian populations;
- Fast-track investigation and prosecution for state-orchestrated war crimes and crimes against humanity;
- Accountability for all individuals and networks complicit in executing and supporting these operations.
This latest confession further affirms what Palestinian victims, human rights defenders, and international legal experts have long documented – that the Israeli regime operates with total impunity, routinely violating international norms while global institutions hesitate.
The ICC must fulfil its mandate to uphold justice. Delay is complicity. Silence is betrayal. Every moment without action emboldens perpetrators and deepens the suffering of the oppressed.
