PRESS RELEASE
MAPIM MOBILIZING HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE TO VICTIMS OF FLOOD IN PAKISTAN
A CALL TO MALAYSIANS AND PAKISTANIS RESIDING IN MALAYSIA TO RENDER IMMEDIATE SUPPORT
Date: 31st August 2025
The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) expresses its deepest concern and sorrow over the devastating flood disaster that has struck Pakistan, leaving millions affected, thousands displaced, and entire communities in ruins. The unprecedented scale of destruction has resulted in severe loss of lives, homes, crops, and livelihoods, with survivors now struggling to meet even their most basic needs.
Entire villages have been submerged, critical infrastructure has been destroyed, and access to clean water, food, and medical care has become critically scarce. Children, women, and the elderly are the most vulnerable in this crisis, many of whom are now left homeless and exposed to disease, hunger, and the harsh elements.
MAPIM, with its longstanding commitment to humanitarian action, is mobilizing an urgent humanitarian assistance campaign to support the victims of this tragedy. We call upon all Malaysians, especially the Pakistani diaspora residing in Malaysia, to come together in solidarity and render immediate support.
Our Immediate Appeal
- Emergency Relief Aid: Contributions of financial donations, food packs, clean water, medicines, blankets, and temporary shelter materials.
- Solidarity Fund for Pakistan Flood Victims: MAPIM has opened a humanitarian fund to channel donations directly to affected communities.
- Volunteer Mobilization: We are preparing to send medical and relief missions to assist on the ground, particularly in rural and hard-to-reach areas. Why This Matters
This is not only a tragedy for Pakistan but a test of our shared humanity. The Malaysian people have always stood firmly with those in distress, regardless of borders. Today, Pakistan – a brotherly nation to Malaysia – needs us more than ever. By acting together, we can save lives, restore hope, and ease the suffering of our brothers and sisters.
MAPIM appeals to mosques, civil society organizations, businesses, student groups, and individuals across Malaysia to rally in this urgent humanitarian cause. No contribution is too small; every act of compassion counts in saving lives.

Conclusion
In times of catastrophe, the true spirit of humanity shines when we extend our hands to those in need. MAPIM stands committed to delivering aid and relief to Pakistan, but we cannot do this alone. We need your solidarity, generosity, and prayers.
Together, let us send a message of hope from Malaysia to Pakistan: You are not alone in this struggle.
