MAPIM Condemns Escalation of Israeli Military Operations in Gaza: A Crime Against Humanity
The Majlis Perundingan Pertubuhan Islam Malaysia (MAPIM) strongly condemns the ongoing escalation of Israeli military aggression in Gaza City, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and a deliberate attempt to commit massacres, destroy neighborhoods, and forcibly displace civilians.
Reports from Quds News Network (6 September 2025) reveal that Israeli forces have targeted residential towers, including buildings housing displaced families. Such attacks are nothing less than crimes against humanity, exposing Israel’s systematic policy of collective punishment against the Palestinian people.
Israel’s repeated claims that civilian buildings are being used by the Resistance are nothing but false justifications intended to mask its war crimes. These fabrications cannot conceal the clear reality: that Israel is waging a war of annihilation against civilians in Gaza.
MAPIM echoes the call of the Palestinian Resistance and urges:
- The International Criminal Court (ICC) to immediately open proceedings against Israeli leaders responsible for ordering and executing these atrocities.
- The United Nations Security Council and international community to impose concrete sanctions on Israel, including an arms embargo, to prevent further war crimes.
- All Muslim-majority states and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to urgently convene and take united, decisive action to defend Gaza and stop the genocide.
- Civil society worldwide to intensify boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) campaigns, pressuring Israel economically and diplomatically.
MAPIM warns that any attempt by Israel to prolong this barbaric assault will only bring it greater shame, failure, and irreversible moral, political, and strategic losses. The Palestinian people have demonstrated resilience for more than seven decades of occupation and will not be broken by the cruelty of an apartheid regime.
The world must no longer remain silent. Accountability, justice, and urgent action are the only pathways to end this ongoing tragedy in Gaza.
