COMMEMORATION OF THE TAUFAN AL-AQSA – 7TH OCTOBER 2023
Two Years of Resistance, Endurance and the Unbroken Spirit of Gaza
On this day, 7 October 2025, the Majlis Perundingan Pertubuhan Islam Malaysia (MAPIM) solemnly commemorates the second anniversary of the Taufan Al-Aqsa Operation, launched on 7 October 2023 — a historic turning point that reshaped the consciousness of the Ummah and reawakened the world to the truth of the Palestinian struggle.
The Taufan Al-Aqsa marked not merely a military operation but a symbol of defiance, dignity, and determination of a besieged people who refused to live under perpetual occupation. Two years on, Gaza stands amid devastation, yet its spirit remains unbroken. The sacrifices of its people have exposed the hypocrisy of global powers and forced the world to confront the ongoing genocide perpetrated by the Zionist regime.
MAPIM Emphasizes:
- Taufan Al-Aqsa is a historic awakening — it shattered the myth of Israel’s invincibility and revived the spirit of global resistance against colonial oppression.
- The genocide in Gaza continues under the world’s watch, despite clear violations of international law and humanitarian norms. Israel’s crimes — mass killings, starvation, and destruction — remain unpunished.
- Global conscience has begun to stir. From students and unions to artists, clergy, and ordinary citizens — the moral outcry against Zionist brutality is spreading across continents.
- Governments must now move from words to action. The era of silence and neutrality is over. MAPIM calls for:
Total economic, cultural, and diplomatic boycott of Israel;
Expulsion of Israel from the United Nations;
Prosecution of Israeli leaders for war crimes at the International Criminal Court;
Protection of humanitarian missions, including the Global Sumud Flotilla, which continues to challenge the illegal siege of Gaza.
- The Ummah must rise in unity. The spirit of Taufan Al-Aqsa reminds every Muslim nation that liberation will not come through compromise or Western dictates, but through steadfast faith, solidarity, and resistance grounded in justice.
MAPIM calls on:
OIC and ASEAN to adopt a proactive and united position to demand an end to the genocide and initiate an international protection mechanism for Palestinians.
Muslim scientists, scholars, and youth to channel their intellect and innovation toward rebuilding the resilience and dignity of the Ummah.
The global public to continue mass mobilizations, advocacy, and humanitarian action until Palestine is free and Al-Aqsa is liberated.
“Taufan Al-Aqsa was not an attack — it was a cry of a people abandoned by the world. Two years later, that cry has become a call for global awakening.”
MAPIM reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause, and pledges to continue all efforts — political, humanitarian, and intellectual — until justice, freedom, and peace with dignity are restored.
