Date: 7 October 2025
Introduction
With full awareness of our humanitarian duty and faith-based responsibility, we – a coalition of Islamic organizations, ulama institutions, and international solidarity networks – gather to commemorate the second anniversary of the genocide in Gaza, which has claimed tens of thousands of Palestinian lives and destroyed the very foundations of existence in the Holy Land.
The Al-Aqsa Flood operation, which began on 7 October 2023, symbolizes the awakening of the dignity of the Muslim Ummah after 75 years of occupation, oppression, and denial of rights against the Palestinian people. It was not merely a military episode but a manifestation of global consciousness for justice, freedom, and human dignity.
1. Affirming the Rights of the Palestinian People
We affirm that the Palestinian people possess the legitimate, lawful, and divinely sanctioned right to defend their homeland from Zionist occupation – a right recognized by Sharia, international law, and universal human principles.
Their struggle is not terrorism; it is a legitimate act of resistance and jihad to defend honor and freedom.
Conversely, the occupation, expulsion, and brutal blockade imposed by Israel constitute institutionalized terrorism and modern genocide, which must be condemned and resisted by all who believe in faith and humanity.
2 . Condemning Genocide and International Hypocrisy
We strongly condemn the mass killings, torture, forced displacement, and total destruction inflicted upon Gaza by the Zionist regime of Israel under the protection of global powers.
We denounce the hypocrisy of the international community, which claims to uphold human rights yet remains silent in the face of this genocide.
The complicity of major powers—through arms supplies, financial aid, and the abuse of veto power in the UN Security Council—renders them accomplices in crimes against humanity.
- A Call for Action by the Ummah and the World
We call upon all Muslims and principled people of the world to:
■ Immediately end the war and the brutal blockade on Gaza.
■ Open all humanitarian corridors and ensure protection for the Palestinian people under international law.
■ Implement boycotts, economic sanctions, and divestment (BDS) against all entities supporting the Zionist regime.
■ Mobilize international solidarity through media, education, people’s diplomacy, and networks of ulama to enhance awareness and moral pressure on Israel and its allies.
■ Bring Israeli war criminals before the International Criminal Court (ICC) for genocide and crimes against humanity.
- Uniting the Ummah and Restoring Dignity
Two years after the Al-Aqsa Flood, we reaffirm that the strength of the Ummah lies in unity and steadfastness in truth.
We call upon all Islamic governments, ulama bodies, and civil society movements to reject sectarian and political divisions and unite under the banner of the liberation of Al-Quds.
Al-Aqsa belongs to the entire Muslim Ummah, and its liberation is a universal responsibility for all who stand for justice.
- Pledge and Commitment We pledge to:
■ Continue defending and spreading the truthful narrative of Palestine across the world.
■ Strengthen global solidarity networks among NGOs, scholars, academics, and civil society to end Israel’s impunity.
■ Keep the Palestinian cause as a permanent agenda of the Islamic Ummah and the global humanitarian movement.
■ Maintain sustained pressure on the Zionist regime and its allies through diplomatic, economic, and public advocacy channels.
“And do not weaken, nor grieve, for you will be superior if you are (true) believers.”
— (Surah Ali ‘Imran, 3:139)
