Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organisation (MAPIM) is a non-governmental body, registered under the Registrar of Societies Act of Malaysia in 2012 . Mooted at the Muslim Congress of Malaysia in 2006, the movement was formed following a consensus by 200 Islamic organisations at the Malaysian Conference of Islamic NGOs in 2008. Its initial aim was to become a consultative forum to address the many issues and challenges of the ummah in particular and humanity in general.

Subsequently it evolved into a platform to voice the concerns of the ummah, both nationally and internationally.

MAPIM focuses on the fundamental principles of ummah building, namely unity, justice and peace, dedicates its resources to develop Islamic individual and the community practices, social development , humanitarian and welfare assistance, besides working for the liberation of the ummah from oppression, economic dependency, education and knowledge advancement , moulding cultural and Islamic lifestyle.
