March 13, 2025COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY’S CRACKDOWN & ARREST OF PRO-PALESTINE STUDENT MAHMOUD KHALIL , IS OUTRAGEOUS , WHERE IS SO CALL FREEDOM OF SPEECH IN THE US ?
March 14, 2025Press Release
13th March 2025
The Malaysian Consultative Council for Islamic Organization (MAPIM) strongly condemns the ongoing closure of Gaza’s crossings, the deliberate blockade of humanitarian aid, and the cutting off of electricity by the Israeli occupation. This inhumane siege has paralyzed daily life, suffocating millions of innocent civilians and exacerbating an already dire humanitarian catastrophe.
By preventing the entry of food, medicine, fuel, and essential supplies, Israel is committing an outright crime of collective punishment, a grave violation of international humanitarian law and the Fourth Geneva Convention. The blockade has forced hospitals into total shutdown, left bakeries unable to function, and deprived millions of Palestinians of electricity, water, and fuel for survival. The transportation sector has collapsed, leaving civilians unable to reach medical facilities, schools, or workplaces.
This systematic policy is nothing less than an attempt to break the will of the Palestinian people through starvation, deprivation, and suffering. However, the resilience of Gaza remains unshaken. The international community must no longer remain silent in the face of such war crimes and crimes against humanity.
MAPIM calls upon:
- The United Nations and the OIC – to immediately intervene and demand the reopening of all crossings without restrictions.
- ASEAN and the Malaysian Government – to take strong diplomatic action against Israel’s continued atrocities
- Humanitarian and rights organizations – to escalate efforts to deliver emergency aid despite the blockade.
- The global Ummah and civil society – to unite in urgent advocacy and pressure international bodies to hold Israel accountable.
We refuse to allow the Palestinian people to be subjected to slow and systematic genocide. We demand an end to this brutal blockade and the immediate restoration of electricity, water, and humanitarian access to Gaza. Any further delay will result in an unprecedented human catastrophe, for which history will not forgive those who chose to remain indifferent.
Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid
