THE BRUTALITY IS BEYOND LIMITS – THE SILENCE AND INACTION OF THE WORLD COMMUNITY IS CLEAR COMPLICITY
Once again, the Israeli occupation has committed a heinous crime against the people of Gaza. This afternoon, Israeli warplanes launched a direct attack on a group of police officers at Al-Saraya Junction in central Gaza City, while they were dutifully responding to and confronting a group of looters.
This deliberate and unprovoked attack resulted in the martyrdom of several police officers and numerous civilian casualties, marking yet another massacre perpetrated by the occupation forces.
The police officers were engaged in maintaining order, protecting public property, and preventing chaos amid a severe humanitarian catastrophe. Targeting them while on duty is not only a violation of international law but a blatant act of terrorism and lawlessness.
MAPIM strongly condemns this brutal assault and holds the Israeli occupation fully responsible for this crime and all its consequences.
We emphasize that the ongoing silence, indifference, and inaction of the international community in the face of these atrocities amount to clear complicity. Every passing day of inaction emboldens the aggressor and deepens the suffering of an already devastated population.
We call on the United Nations, international human rights organizations, and free nations of the world to:
- Immediately intervene to stop these crimes;
- Hold the Israeli leadership accountable for war crimes and crimes against humanity;
- Ensure protection for civilians and public institutions in Gaza under international humanitarian law. Justice delayed is justice denied.
The blood of our martyrs will not be forgotten, and the truth of these crimes will not be silenced.
