The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) strongly condemns the ongoing farce masquerading as a humanitarian aid operation in Gaza, spearheaded by the United States and Israel. After 600 days of brutal siege, military aggression, and collective punishment against the Palestinian people, the so-called aid initiatives promoted by Washington and Tel Aviv are nothing more than propaganda stunts designed to whitewash war crimes and divert global attention from the root of the crisis.
The United States, having repeatedly armed, financed, and provided diplomatic cover for Israel’s genocidal campaign, cannot now pose as a savior through token humanitarian drops and floating piers. These theatrics insult the intelligence of the international community and the dignity of the Palestinian people who continue to suffer under relentless bombardment, displacement, famine, and medical collapse.
MAPIM reiterates: The real humanitarian solution is to stop the war, end the siege, and hold Israel accountable.
Key facts:
- Over 54,000 Palestinians killed, the majority being women and children, with tens of thousands more injured and missing.
- Total destruction of civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, schools, UN facilities, and places of worship.
- Aid operations are militarized and conditional, with no guarantees of sustained relief, and deliberately bypass legitimate Palestinian governance and local institutions.
- The US’s temporary floating pier operation, while applauded in Western media, delivers a fraction of what is needed, and is clearly staged to obscure the fact that Israel continues to block aid by land — the most efficient and effective route.
This disinformation campaign aims to rewrite the narrative: from an ongoing genocidal war to a humanitarian crisis without a perpetrator. The Biden administration’s dual role — as weapons supplier and pretended rescuer — is morally bankrupt and internationally criminal.
MAPIM calls for:
- An immediate, unconditional ceasefire and full, unrestricted humanitarian access via all land crossings.
- The dismantling of the siege regime imposed on Gaza for over 17 years.
- International legal proceedings against Israel and its accomplices under international criminal law for genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.
- A UN-led independent investigation into the real impact of US-Israel so-called aid missions.
- Mobilization of the global Ummah, civil society, and governments to reject and expose this propaganda, and to intensify real solidarity action for Palestinian liberation.
MAPIM stands firm in its belief that Palestinian liberation cannot be substituted by parachuted food packs or media spectacles. The only sustainable resolution is justice, decolonization, and freedom for the Palestinian people.
End the occupation. Stop the genocide. Expose the cover-up.
