AID TURNED INTO DEATH TRAP: THE RAMPANT SLAUGHTER IN GAZA

The tragic massacre at an aid distribution site in Rafah and Wadi Gaza Bridfe , Gaza

The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) strongly condemns the brutal massacre of Palestinians at an aid distribution point in Rafah and Wadi Gaza Bridge Gaza. The latest attack claimed the lives of 22 people and injured over 115 others — bringing the total in one week to 39 martyrs and over 220 wounded, the majority being starving women and children waiting for aid.

Today at Wadi Gaza Bridge the Israli and American criminal forces opened fired and martyed one citizen and injured 30 others.

This atrocity constitutes a heinous war crime and is utterly unacceptable to any sane conscience. The Zionist occupying regime has turned humanitarian aid into a deadly trap, operating under the cover and protection of the Israeli military, and with political and logistical support from the United States. This is a form of planned genocide — carried out in the name of “humanitarian assistance.”

MAPIM stresses that these killings represent a blatant implementation of a systematic murder policy, where food is used as bait to kill — a gross violation of humanitarian norms and international law, particularly the 1948 Genocide Convention.

📌 MAPIM hereby asserts the following demands:

1. Immediate opening of all official Gaza crossings and the total removal of Israeli control over humanitarian aid. Assistance must be managed independently by the UN and international humanitarian agencies, free from Israeli manipulation or interference.
2. The establishment of an Independent International Commission of Inquiry to investigate the massacre at the aid distribution site and bring those responsible to justice at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
3. Total rejection of the so-called “buffer zones” and “humanitarian corridors” controlled by the occupying regime, as they have proven to be killing zones, not safe passageways.
4. Call on the Malaysian government, OIC member states, and the Arab League to take firm action — including suspending relations with the Zionist regime and pressuring the UN and Security Council to act decisively, not merely issue rhetorical statements.
5. Urge all Malaysians, the Muslim Ummah, and justice-loving people worldwide to raise their voices in outrage — through protests, diplomatic pressure, boycotts, and sustained support for the people of Gaza.

❗ The world must not remain silent.

If the world allows this slaughter to go unchecked, then it has failed every principle of justice, human rights, and humanity itself.

We call for an intensified wave of global solidarity for Gaza. The people of Gaza must not be left to suffer from starvation and systematic massacres.

MAPIM will launch the “Aid Not Ambush” international campaign in collaboration with global partners to expose how Israel and the US weaponize aid as a tool of death, and to demand stronger international positions against this atrocity.
