A Global Menace – From Gaza to South Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and Yemen

The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) vehemently condemns the latest wave of brutal Israeli aggression across multiple fronts, including Gaza, South Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and Yemen. This sustained pattern of militarized expansionism and indiscriminate violence confirms that Israel is a terrorist and criminal state, operating above international law with complete impunity.
SOUTH LEBANON UNDER ATTACK: AN ACT OF WAR
In recent days, Israel has launched intense airstrikes and artillery barrages on Southern Lebanon, particularly targeting towns and villages along the border such as Aita al-Shaab, Bint Jbeil, and Maroun al-Ras. These attacks have resulted in civilian casualties, mass displacement, and the destruction of homes, schools, and critical infrastructure.
The Israeli military claims these actions are “pre-emptive strikes” against Hezbollah, but the reality on the ground shows a deliberate escalation designed to provoke full-scale war in the region. Civilian neighborhoods have been reduced to rubble, and families have been forced to flee with no assurance of safety.
These attacks are not isolated incidents—they are part of a larger campaign of aggression that mirrors the ethnic cleansing and genocide unfolding in Gaza.
Israel is systematically destabilizing the region, and South Lebanon is now on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe. The targeting of ambulances, media crews, and relief convoys demonstrates Israel’s disregard for the rules of war and basic human decency.
A Regional Pattern of State Terrorism
Gaza : Over 110 martyrs and nearly 600 wounded in just a week—mostly civilians, gunned down while attempting to obtain food.
Syria and Iran : Illegal air raids targeting critical infrastructure, violating sovereignty.
Yemen : Covert destabilization efforts via cyber and proxy warfare.
South Lebanon : Deliberate civilian bombardment, war crimes in progress.
ISRAEL MEETS THE DEFINITION OF A TERRORIST STATE
●Targets civilians deliberately and systematically.
●Uses starvation and siege as weapons of war.
●Carries out cross-border strikes violating sovereign airspace.
●Operates with impunity due to Western, especially American, protection.
●Defies UN resolutions and ignores International Criminal Court warrants.
This is not self-defense—this is a premeditated strategy of regional domination through terrorism.
MAPIM’s Urgent Demands :
- Total diplomatic and economic sanctions against Israel by the international community.
- Immediate arms embargo—stop the flow of weapons and intelligence to Israel.
- OIC and Arab League must act decisively, including emergency summits and regional defense coordination.
- Mobilize civil society globally to isolate Israel through boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS).
- Deploy international protection missions for civilians in Gaza, South Lebanon, and other targeted areas. INACTION IS COMPLICITY – THE WORLD MUST RESPOND
The continued silence and inaction of global powers and institutions equals complicity. Every hour of delay means more lives lost. If Israel’s unchecked war crimes are tolerated, the entire region is at risk of spiraling into a broader war with devastating consequences.
South Lebanon is burning. Gaza is bleeding. The time to act is now.
