August 25, 2025MAPIM Statement
The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) views with utmost concern the increasing indications that Zionist networks, both directly and through proxies, are attempting to penetrate Malaysia. Such infiltration represents not only a threat to our firm national policy of rejecting normalization with the Zionist regime of Israel, but also a dangerous compromise of our sovereignty, values, and solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine.
- Subtle Penetration through Business and Cultural Fronts
We observe that Zionist-linked entities often camouflage themselves behind multinational corporations, NGOs, or cultural exchanges. Under the guise of “investment opportunities,” “innovation partnerships,” or “academic collaboration,” there is a calculated effort to normalize ties with Israel indirectly. Such ventures must be investigated, monitored, and prohibited in line with Malaysia’s long-standing foreign policy.
- Media and Ideological Influence
Zionist narratives are increasingly being smuggled into Malaysian discourse through international media, social platforms, and even local opinion-shaping initiatives. These efforts seek to downplay the crimes of Israel, divert attention from genocide in Gaza, and promote normalization under the banner of peace and development. MAPIM strongly warns against the adoption of Zionist rhetoric that blames the victims while sanitizing the occupiers.
- Diplomatic and Regional Pressures
With the Abraham Accords and normalization wave sweeping parts of the Muslim world, there is external pressure on Malaysia to compromise its principled stand. MAPIM stresses that Malaysia must resist all forms of coercion—whether economic, political, or diplomatic—that attempt to soften our rejection of Israel.
4. A Call to Vigilance
We call upon all segments of Malaysian society—government institutions, civil society, academia, business sectors, and especially the youth—to remain vigilant. Zionism is not merely a foreign policy matter; it is an ideological project rooted in racism, settler-colonialism, and apartheid. Its encroachment into Malaysia would undermine our moral identity and betray the sacrifices of the Palestinian people.
- MAPIM’s Stand
●We urge the government to strengthen laws against indirect dealings with Zionist-linked organizations.
●We demand that corporate and academic actors practice due diligence to ensure they are not complicit in normalization.
●We call on mosques, schools, and community groups to intensify education on the dangers of Zionism and the necessity of solidarity with Palestine.
●We reaffirm Malaysia’s responsibility to uphold the international boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) campaign as a peaceful and effective means of resisting Zionist infiltration.
Conclusion
Malaysia must never allow the Zionist regime to gain even the slightest foothold in our nation. Our independence, our dignity, and our solidarity with Palestine are at stake. Zionism in Malaysia is not just an external threat—it is an attack on our moral compass as a people who value justice, humanity, and freedom.
