MAPIM CONDEMNS YET ANOTHER IOF BARBARIC COLD-BLOODED MURDER IN GAZA
Kuala Lumpur, 2 September 2025 – The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organisations (MAPIM) strongly condemns the latest Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) airstrike that brutally targeted innocent children searching for water west of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
This heinous attack, which deliberately struck civilians struggling for the basic human right to water, is yet another crime against humanity. Such acts are in clear violation of international humanitarian law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, and fundamental principles of human rights.
MAPIM asserts that:
- Targeting children is an unforgivable war crime – Innocent lives, especially children, must never be the target of military aggression.
- The international community must no longer remain silent – Continued inaction by global powers emboldens the IOF to commit further atrocities.
- Urgent intervention is required – We call upon the United Nations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and all peace-loving nations to take decisive action to stop these crimes and hold the perpetrators accountable.
- Malaysia must lead humanitarian efforts – MAPIM urges the Malaysian Government to amplify pressure at the international stage, intensify humanitarian missions, and strengthen solidarity with the Palestinian people.
MAPIM reiterates its unwavering solidarity with the people of Gaza, who continue to suffer under inhumane siege and indiscriminate bombings. We stand with Palestine until justice, freedom, and dignity are restored.
