OBSESSION OF THE U.S. OVER THE IRANIAN NUCLEAR PROGRAM: WHY?A Chronological Analysis
April 21, 2026Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid

Recent statements and narratives posted by US President Donal Trump supported by the Zionist Israel that diminish the dignity of Jesus, peace be upon him, must not be taken lightly.
For both Muslims and Christians, Jesus is not a political symbol to be manipulated.
He is a sacred figure, a messenger of God, and a source of moral guidance for humanity.
Any attempt to trivialize or distort his message for political gain is an affront not only to faith, but to the shared spiritual heritage of billions.
A Shared Reverence
Muslims and Christians stand on common ground in honoring Jesus:
In Islam, Nabi Isa (AS) is among the greatest prophets
In Christianity, Jesus Christ is central to faith and salvation
Both traditions uphold his message of compassion, justice and truth
This shared reverence must become a basis for unity, not division.
Rejecting Political Exploitation of Faith
When religious figures are used to justify power, domination or hatred, faith itself is being abused.
We must be clear:
● Jesus did not preach oppression
● Jesus did not endorse injustice
● Jesus did not stand with tyranny
To invoke his name while supporting policies that harm the innocent is a contradiction that cannot be ignored.
A Call for Interfaith Solidarity
MAPIM calls upon Muslim and Christian leaders, scholars and communities worldwide to:
● Stand together in defending the sanctity of Jesus (peace be upon him)
● Reject any political narrative that distorts his message
● Promote dialogue based on shared values of justice and compassion
● Speak with one voice against injustice, wherever it occurs
Faith Must Stand with Justice
At a time when the world is deeply divided, the moral voice of faith communities must rise above politics.
Unity between Muslims and Christians is not a strategic convenience.
It is a moral necessity.
When we defend the dignity of Jesus, we are defending:
● Truth over manipulation
Faith over power
● Humanity over division
Conclusion
Jesus (peace be upon him) belongs to no political agenda.
He belongs to the conscience of humanity.
Let Muslims and Christians stand together, not only to defend his honor, but to uphold the values he embodied:
Justice, mercy and truth.
