MALAYSIA NGOs FULLY SUPPORT GAZA REBUILDING AND ENDING ISRAEL SIEGE
We from the Malaysian Ngos extend our full support to the call by the people of Gaza for Gaza rebuilding and ending Israel siege.
Humanitarian assistance is vital but we standby with Gaza , unless and until the blockade is dismantled , then there will be no ending on the sufferings of the Gaza enclave and peace will not be assured.
Gaza has a legitimate demand to end Israel’s years-long blockade on the Gaza Strip and rebuilding the seaside enclave.
Israel’s illegal and unilateral blockade on Gaza is against international law and disregard to the UN Universal Human Rights Declaration.
We call for international action to allow construction materials into Gaza. Delaying access is unacceptable and Gaza has the right to voice their demand and seeks alternatives.
Israel is purposely restricting
the rebuilding process on destroyed homes and public infrastructures to aggravate the suffering of Gaza residents, who are living under siege for the 15th year in a row.
We do not see any reasons for the UN to reflect a lukeworm attitude to assist Gaza.
Why is the United Nation dragging its feet and allow Gaza to suffer because of israel’s persistent attempt to suffocate the enclave ?
UN must perform its role in supporting the oppressed Palestinian people. Ending the blockade is the only way for Gaza to survive. UN is the only organization that can push to dismantle the siege.
Gaza now is at the mercy of the international community. Hamas and Israel engaged in 11 days of fighting in early May against the backdrop of an Israeli court verdict to evict Palestinian families from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood in occupied East Jerusalem. The destructions have again pushed back Gaza,’s rebuilding process.
At least 260 Palestinians were killed and thousands injured in Israel’s bombardment of the blockaded territory that left a vast trail of destruction.
Israel has imposed a crippling blockade on Gaza since 2007, badly affecting livelihood in the Palestinian territory.
Within the more than 14 years of blockade , israel has compounded the devastation of Gaza with 4 major assaults : 2008/09 , 2012 , 2014 and 2021.
These aggressions witnessed by the whole world , unfortunately did not trigger a strong UN response . Thousands were killed and tens of thousand injured by israeli air strikes with impunity.
We call for an international sanction on israel for its inhumane and criminal treatment on Gaza by banning access of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
Our stance is , end the blockade and give the people of Gaza their freedom of access to the outside world for a full rebuilding and normalizing the livelihood of the citizens on Gaza.
