January 19, 2025Jangan jadikan rakyat sebagai hamba hutang
January 20, 2025Press Release
19th January 2025
The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) and undersigned Ngos solemnly observe Genocide Memorial Day , today 19th January 2025 , and call for the immediate and full implementation of the ceasefire in Gaza.
We also demand a complete end to the war that has caused catastrophic suffering to innocent civilians.
The ongoing conflict has claimed thousands of lives, displaced families, and devastated infrastructure in Gaza. Despite numerous international resolutions and calls for peace, the escalation of violence continues unabated.
This dire situation calls for urgent action to ensure that the ceasefire is not only declared but also respected and enforced by all parties.
We condemn in the strongest terms the relentless bombardment and collective punishment inflicted on the people of Gaza. These actions amount to war crimes and violations of international humanitarian law.
The continued siege and blockade of Gaza exacerbate the humanitarian crisis, denying Palestinians access to essential resources, medical aid, and basic human rights.
On this Genocide Memorial Day, we remind the world of its moral and legal obligation to stand against acts of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and systemic oppression by the Israel zionist troops.
The global community must hold accountable those responsible for these atrocities and work toward a just and lasting peace in the region. The crimes committed with full impunity by Israel and unconditional complicity from the US and it’s allies must be investigated.
International Independent medias must be allowed within the ceasefire to have access into Gaza for full unbiased reporting on the situation .
Our key demands :
- Full Ceasefire Implementation: All parties must honor the ceasefire agreement to halt further loss of life and destruction.
- End the War: Immediate cessation of all hostilities and acts of aggression against Gaza.
- Lift the Blockade: The blockade on Gaza must be lifted to allow the free flow of humanitarian aid, goods, and people.
- Justice and Accountability: International bodies must investigate and prosecute those responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity.
- Support for Palestine: The international community must ensure the protection of Palestinian rights and support efforts for a Palestinian statehood based on right , self determination , justice, equality, and respect for international law.
We stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza and Palestine.
We urge all nations, international organizations, and civil society to amplify their efforts to end this conflict and work towards lasting peace.
The time for action is now.
Together, let us strive for a world where justice prevails, and the dignity and rights of every human being are upheld.
