February 1, 2025The Israeli Occupation Procrastination and US Complicity – Condemned
February 4, 2025Press Release
3rd February 2025
The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) strongly condemned Israel’s military actions in the Jenin refugee camp, where multiple explosions destroyed around 20 homes in a single residential area.
This attack is part of Israel’s ongoing two-week military assault in the occupied West Bank which has resulted in the deaths of dozens of Palestinians
MAPIM denounced Israel’s aggression** and called upon the international community, the United Nations, and human rights organizations to intervene and hold Israel accountable for what is described as war crimes.
We urge for global solidarity to stop the systematic destruction of Palestinian communities and ensure justice for the victims.
The situation in the West Bank, particularly in Jenin, has been escalating, with increased military operations, home demolitions, and violence against Palestinian civilians. The humanitarian impact of these attacks has been devastating, displacing families and worsening the already dire living conditions in the region.
The recent Israeli military operations in the Jenin refugee camp have elicited significant international concern and condemnation.
We demand the United Nations to act and stop
the escalating violence in Jenin and the broader occupied West Bank. The excessive use of force by Israeli forces, including airstrikes in densely populated civilian areas, calls for accountability for potential violations of international law.
We call for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.
The destruction of civilian infrastructure and the loss of life cannot be ignored.
We call for international intervention to protect Palestinian civilians and to hold Israel accountable for potential war crimes.
We reject assertions that UNRWA’s installations in the West Bank are “terror hubs”. The hindrance of humanitarian access to the Jenin camp must be halted. The agency has been unable to operate critical health and education services due to the ongoing military operations, leading to significant disruptions for the camp’s residents.
The world community must halt the intensified Israeli military activities which have imposed new hardships on Palestinians, including restrictions on freedom of movement and widespread fear of mass displacement. The destruction of homes and infrastructure has exacerbated the already dire humanitarian situation in the West Bank.
An immediate cessation of hostilities and the provision of humanitarian aid to affected populations must be assured.
