PRESS STATEMENT
MAPIM CONDEMNS: NO REAL CEASEFIRE EVEN FOR ONE DAY IN GAZA
The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) expresses its strongest condemnation over the continued Israeli violations of the so-called ceasefire in Gaza. The latest data issued by the Government Media Office in Gaza on 22 November 2025 reveals a catastrophic reality that leaves no doubt — the ceasefire exists only on paper.
Despite the agreement, the occupation forces have carried out 497 violations, including 27 violations on Saturday alone, causing 24 more martyrs and 87 injured. This reckless defiance of international humanitarian law exposes the absence of any genuine commitment by Israel to uphold even the most basic humanitarian obligations.
Since the start of the ceasefire agreement, 342 civilians have been killed, most of them children, women, and elderly people. Another 875 individuals have been injured. The occupation has also carried out arbitrary detentions of 35 civilians, proving once again its intent to break the agreement and impose a violent reality on the ground.
The 497 violations include:
●• 142 incidents of direct gunfire targeting civilians, homes and tents of displaced families
●• 21 incursions by military vehicles into residential and agricultural areas
●• 228 bombardments by land, air and artillery
●• 100 demolitions of civilian homes and facilities
These are not isolated breaches. They represent a systematic and deliberate campaign of collective punishment, in blatant violation of the Geneva Conventions and every legal norm intended to protect civilians.
MAPIM AFFIRMS THE FOLLOWING
- MAPIM strongly condemns the ongoing aggression and the clear contempt shown by the Israeli occupation towards international law, humanitarian principles and the ceasefire agreement it claims to respect.
- MAPIM holds the Israeli occupation fully responsible for all humanitarian and security consequences. These actions destroy any attempt to restore calm and inflame the situation further.
- MAPIM calls on U.S. President Donald Trump, all mediating states, guarantors of the agreement and the United Nations Security Council to take decisive action to halt these violations, restrain the Israeli occupation and ensure full compliance with the ceasefire and humanitarian protocol.
- MAPIM stresses that the continuation of these crimes confirms a painful truth — only sustained and unified international pressure can force the occupation to respect international law and cease its escalating violations against the Palestinian people.
MAPIM’s Position
MAPIM stands firmly with the people of Gaza and calls upon global civil society, humanitarian institutions and governments to escalate diplomatic, legal and public pressure to protect civilians and stop Israel’s ongoing aggression disguised under the label of a ceasefire.
