The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) strongly condemns the ongoing atrocities committed by Israel against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank. We call upon all Muslim and Arab nations to take decisive action to protect Palestine from genocide, forced displacement, and war crimes.
Despite global calls for a ceasefire, Israel continues its relentless attacks, supported militarily and politically by the United States. The continued aggression against civilians, including women and children, and the destruction of critical infrastructure constitute crimes against humanity. The international community must no longer remain silent in the face of these blatant violations of international law.
MAPIM Demands the Following:
- Full Enforcement of a Permanent Ceasefire – We call on all Muslim and Arab nations, along with the international community, to take immediate diplomatic and legal steps to enforce a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and the West Bank. The war crimes committed by Israel must not be allowed to continue under any circumstances.
- Protection for Palestinian Civilians – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Arab League, and all humanitarian organizations must work together to provide urgent protection for the Palestinian people. This includes humanitarian corridors, medical aid, and safe zones.
- Immediate Accountability for the US and Israel – The United States, as Israel’s primary military and political backer, must be held responsible for enabling war crimes. We urge the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the United Nations to investigate and prosecute Israeli leaders and their supporters for crimes against humanity.
- Economic and Diplomatic Sanctions Against Israel – Muslim and Arab nations must take strong economic actions, including boycotts and sanctions, against Israel. We also call for the severing of diplomatic ties with any country complicit in Israel’s crimes.
- Global Mobilization for Palestinian Rights – We urge all civil society organizations, activists, and governments to mobilize globally to pressure world leaders to act against Israeli aggression and apartheid policies.
MAPIM stands firmly in solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom and justice. The time for statements alone has passed – we demand action. The Muslim and Arab world must rise to defend the innocent people of Gaza and the West Bank before more lives are lost.
End the occupation. End the genocide. Free Palestine.
