ISRAEL’S ATTACK ON UN FACILITY – IS THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY STILL ACTIONLESS?

The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) strongly condemns the Israeli occupation forces for their latest heinous attack on a United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) facility in central Gaza. This deliberate and unlawful strike killed one foreign humanitarian worker and left five others critically injured.

This crime is part of Israel’s systematic war against humanitarian efforts, aimed at blocking aid, silencing relief workers, and ensuring that Gaza remains trapped in an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.

MAPIM’s Strong Condemnation & Urgent Calls for Action

1.Holding Israel Accountable for War Crimes

●Israel’s attack on UN personnel is a blatant war crime and a violation of international humanitarian law, including the Geneva Conventions.

●We demand that Israel be held fully responsible for its continued crimes against aid workers and civilians.

2.Condemning International Silence

●The global community’s failure to act emboldens Israel to commit further war crimes without fear of accountability.

●The lack of concrete action from world leaders and human rights bodies is an unforgivable betrayal of humanitarian principles.

3.Exposing Israel’s Systematic War Against Relief Efforts

●Israel is deliberately blocking aid, bombing humanitarian facilities, and imposing starvation policies to break Palestinian resistance.

●Attacks on humanitarian workers are part of Israel’s broader genocidal strategy to erase Palestine.

4 Demanding Immediate UN Action & Independent Investigations

●The United Nations must take an unequivocal stance against this atrocity and ensure immediate accountability.

●An independent international investigation committee must be formed to prosecute Israeli war criminals responsible for targeting relief workers.

The International Community Must Act – Now!

This attack is a direct challenge to international law and global institutions. Every second of inaction further enables Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

MAPIM urges:

1. World leaders to impose immediate sanctions on Israel.
2. UN agencies to push for urgent intervention in Gaza.
3. Human rights organizations to take legal action against Israeli war criminals.

The time for empty words is over. Action is the only response.
