The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organization (MAPIM) issues this urgent statement in the face of the ongoing genocide being committed by Israeli forces in Gaza. The international community must no longer remain silent as innocent lives are systematically erased in full view of the world.
A NIGHT OF HORROR – GAZA BLEEDS AGAIN
In the past 24 hours alone, at least 46 Palestinians have been killed in yet another wave of merciless Israeli attacks across Gaza. These are not statistics—they are human lives, many of them children, mothers, and the elderly.
Overnight strikes concentrated on Gaza City and the southern Strip have left unimaginable devastation. In one drone attack, a father and his daughter were killed. In another, a strike on a displacement tent—supposedly a safe haven—claimed the lives of at least six more.
In Khan Younis, the massacre continued. Jamal al-Mdhoun, a survivor of an early morning bombing that reduced homes to rubble, described the carnage:
“We were peacefully sleeping … and all of a sudden, homes were levelled; roofs brought down on innocent women and children’s heads… Missiles heavy enough to reduce mountains to ashes are fired on children.”
“We pulled out eight dead bodies, all of them women and children; not a single man… Their goal is to kill any human being with a Muslim identity.”
This is not self-defense. This is state-sanctioned extermination.
MAPIM DEMANDS IMMEDIATE GLOBAL ACTION
MAPIM calls on:
- The United Nations to immediately enforce a ceasefire and initiate war crimes investigations.
- The OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) to convene an emergency summit and take decisive, unified action.
- The Malaysian government to lead diplomatic pressure and humanitarian aid efforts.
- The people of the world to rise in solidarity, protest, and demand justice for Palestine.
We are witnessing a genocide in real time. Gaza is being annihilated, family by family, child by child. The world’s inaction is no longer just apathy—it is complicity.
