The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) strongly condemns the Israeli occupation forces’ aggressive annexation of Rafah, the last remaining refuge in southern Gaza. This latest act of blatant colonial expansion represents not only a gross violation of international law but also an existential threat to the remaining Palestinian civilian population, who have already endured months of indiscriminate bombardment, starvation, and displacement.
The Zionist regime’s incursion into Rafah is the final phase of an ethnic cleansing campaign that the world can no longer afford to observe in silence. Over 1.5 million people are crammed into this besieged area, and any further military assault will result in catastrophic human loss and suffering.
MAPIM urgently calls upon the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Arab League, and all Muslim-majority nations to unite under a singular and resolute initiative: the immediate formation and deployment of a United Muslim Defence Force to halt this genocidal campaign. The time for toothless statements and symbolic gestures has long passed. We demand action—swift, coordinated, and uncompromising.
The international community, particularly Western powers, have failed to uphold their moral and legal responsibilities. It is now incumbent upon the Muslim Ummah to rise and protect our brothers and sisters in Gaza. The defence of Palestine is not only a political obligation—it is a divine duty and a test of our collective honour.
MAPIM reiterates: If Rafah falls, humanity fails.
We call upon global civil society, human rights groups, and peace-loving people around the world to raise their voices and demand that this carnage be stopped immediately. Every hour of inaction is paid in Palestinian blood.
