PRESS RELEASE
Date: 13 April 2025
The Malaysian Consultative Council for Islamic Organization (MAPIM) vehemently condemns the renewed airstrike by Zionist Israeli occupation forces on Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza—the oldest Christian hospital in the besieged enclave.
This marks the second time the hospital has been deliberately targeted. The first horrific attack occurred on October 17, 2023, resulting in the deaths of more than 470 civilians, including women, children, and medical staff who were seeking shelter within the hospital grounds. The attack shocked the world, but no meaningful accountability followed.
Now, in April 2025, the hospital is once again reduced to rubble under Zionist warplanes—an unthinkable escalation of war crimes and cruelty. This repeated targeting of a faith-based medical institution is an act of terror and sacrilege, in violation of every code of humanitarian law and human conscience.
MAPIM calls upon the Christian world—leaders of churches, bishops, humanitarian groups, and believers of all denominations—to stand up in moral outrage and solidarity. We urge the global Christian clergy to issue public condemnations and demand that Israel and its chief backer, the United States, be held fully accountable for these atrocities.
The world must not allow this second strike to pass in silence. The bombing of hospitals is a red line. The bombing of a Christian hospital—twice—is a deafening cry for interfaith solidarity against tyranny and injustice.
MAPIM will be initiating an urgent global interfaith campaign to demand justice for the victims of Al-Ahli Hospital and to call for a UN investigation, immediate international sanctions, and war crimes prosecution for those responsible.
Silence is betrayal. Action is faith in motion.

Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid
President, MAPIM Malaysia
