The Common Agenda of Hindutva and Zionism — A Call for Global Solidarity Against Oppression in Kashmir and Gaza

The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organization (MAPIM) expresses its grave concern and condemnation over the escalating oppression committed by the Hindutva regime in India against the Kashmiri people, and the Zionist apartheid regime of Israel against the Palestinians in Gaza and the broader Occupied Territories.

We underscore the alarming ideological convergence between the Hindutva-led Indian state and the Zionist regime of Israel, both of which operate under supremacist ethno-religious ideologies — Hindutva and Zionism — with a shared agenda of occupation, apartheid, and collective punishment targeting Muslim populations.

Kashmir: From Occupation to Ethnic Erasure

Since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, the Indian state has intensified its colonial grip over Jammu & Kashmir. The RSS-BJP regime, rooted in Hindutva ideology, seeks to impose a Hindu nationalist identity over the Muslim-majority region of Kashmir. The recent mass arrests, home demolitions, extrajudicial killings, and the branding of political dissent as terrorism reflect a systematic campaign of collective punishment, eerily mirroring the Israeli playbook in Gaza.

The latest round of repression following the Pahalgam attack has seen over 1,500 Kashmiris detained without charge, and innocent civilians’ homes razed in retaliatory action. This indiscriminate vengeance reflects a blatant violation of international law and human rights. What we witness in Kashmir is not a security operation but a settler-colonial project, aimed at breaking Kashmiri resistance and altering the demographic reality.

Gaza: A Laboratory of Occupation

In Palestine, the Zionist regime continues its genocidal war on Gaza with impunity, employing siege, starvation, and indiscriminate bombardment as tools of war. The goal is clear — the Judaization of all of historic Palestine, the erasure of Palestinian identity, and the dismantling of resistance. This ideology, rooted in exclusivist claims of divine entitlement and racial superiority, mirrors Hindutva’s belief in Hindu supremacy over India and the subjugation of Muslims as outsiders.

The Israeli military strategy of targeting civilians, hospitals, and refugee camps in Gaza — under the guise of fighting terrorism — is mirrored in India’s actions in Kashmir. Both regimes deploy collective punishment, control of territory through force, and the dehumanization of the indigenous population.

India–Israel Axis: A Strategic and Ideological Partnership

We cannot ignore the deepening alliance between India and Israel. The exchange of military hardware, surveillance technologies, and counter-insurgency doctrines has turned Kashmir into a testing ground for Israeli arms, while Palestine remains the laboratory for new tactics of control.

India’s Hindutva regime increasingly adopts Zionist rhetoric, equating all forms of Muslim dissent with terrorism, while normalizing occupation and repression. This partnership is not only strategic but ideological: both seek to redraw borders, erase history, and crush the will of native populations through authoritarian nationalism and religious extremism.

A Call for Global Resistance

MAPIM calls upon the United Nations, the OIC, and all conscientious nations to immediately act:

1. Condemn the collective punishment of Kashmiris and demand an end to Indian military occupation and demographic engineering in Kashmir.
2. Hold Israel accountable for war crimes in Gaza and demand an immediate end to the genocide of the Palestinian people.
3. Investigate the India–Israel axis as a transnational project of Islamophobia, apartheid, and military-industrial profiteering.
4. Mobilize global civil society, especially in the Global South, to build a united front against occupation and settler-colonialism.
5. Impose diplomatic and economic sanctions on both regimes until they comply with international humanitarian law and the right to self-determination. Muslim Ummah Must Rise

The silence of Muslim governments is unacceptable. The plight of Kashmiris and Palestinians is a test of our faith, our values, and our dignity as an Ummah. We call for:

1. A boycott of all Indian and Israeli goods and companies complicit in oppression.
2. Support for international campaigns for justice, including BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions).
3. A unified Islamic front that will challenge Hindutva and Zionist ideologies as global threats to humanity and Islam.

The Kashmiri and Palestinian causes are not isolated crises; they are linked struggles against the same forces of oppression. The RSS of India and the Zionists of Israel represent the most dangerous convergence of religious nationalism, militarism, and apartheid in the 21st century.

MAPIM stands resolutely with the oppressed peoples of Kashmir and Palestine. We pledge to amplify their voices, expose the crimes of their oppressors, and mobilize global solidarity until justice is achieved.

End the occupation. End apartheid. Resist Hindutva and Zionism.
