Press Release
14th May 2025
BAN RSS INFILTRATION INTO MALAYSIA –
MALAYSIA MUST NOT TOLERATE THE HINDUTVA IDEOLOGY OF RELIGIOUS AND RACIAL HATRED
Majlis Perundingan Pertubuhan Islam Malaysia (MAPIM) calls on the Malaysian government to immediately ban any activities, networks, and funding related to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the ideological backbone of Hindutva extremism in India.
We express grave concern over the growing signs of infiltration by RSS-linked individuals and organizations into Malaysia, under the guise of cultural, religious, or economic platforms. The RSS ideology, which promotes Hindu supremacy, anti-Muslim hatred, and racial chauvinism, poses a serious threat to Malaysia’s pluralistic and harmonious society.
Why RSS Must Be Banned:
- The RSS is the ideological mother of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has been internationally criticized for promoting fascist, violent, and supremacist doctrines that marginalize Muslims, Christians, Dalits, and other minorities in India.
- The RSS and its affiliates have incited pogroms, lynchings, and systemic oppression, particularly in Indian-occupied Kashmir, Assam, and numerous Indian states.
- Malaysian soil must never be allowed to become a platform for exporting foreign extremist ideologies, especially those that have led to bloodshed, communal division, and political repression.
MAPIM urges:
- The Ministry of Home Affairs to investigate and expose all RSS-linked entities and funding routes operating in Malaysia;
- The Registrar of Societies (ROS) to deregister or prohibit any group found to be promoting Hindutva propaganda;
- Malaysian leaders across political lines to take a firm stance against religious extremism, including foreign ideologies that threaten national unity.
Malaysia is a multi-religious, multicultural nation built on mutual respect, compassion, and peaceful coexistence. We must not tolerate any foreign ideology that undermines these values or threatens our national security.
MAPIM calls on all civil society groups, religious leaders, and peace-loving citizens to stand united against the infiltration of hate-based ideologies like Hindutva and RSS into our country.
