MAPIM CONDEMNS G7 LEADERS’ STATEMENT – EXTREMELY PRO-ZIONIST AND SUPPORTIVE OF AGGRESSION AGAINST IRAN

The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) strongly condemns the G7 Leaders’ Statement issued on June 16, 2025, during the G7 Summit in Alberta, Canada. The statement is shamelessly biased in favor of Israel, whitewashes genocide in Gaza, and provides political cover for the United States’ and its allies’ escalating aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The G7’s assertion that “Israel has the right to defend itself” while ignoring the massacre of over 60,000 Palestinians, the destruction of hospitals, schools, and refugee camps, and the deliberate starvation of civilians, is morally bankrupt and politically criminal.

Furthermore, the G7’s labeling of Iran as the “principal source of regional instability and terror” reflects a dangerous imperialist narrative that disregards the U.S.-Israeli provocations and illegal operations in the region. This rhetoric dangerously escalates the threat of full-scale war and destabilization of West Asia.

The G7 has, once again, revealed itself to be:

1.A defender of Zionist apartheid and genocide;

2.A bloc of neo-colonial powers enabling war crimes;

3.A threat to global peace, international law, and the dignity of sovereign nations.

MAPIM rejects the G7’s narrative and condemns their duplicity. The so-called “call for de-escalation” is nothing but a smokescreen to justify continued military and economic domination of the region by Western powers.

MAPIM demands:

1. Immediate and unconditional cessation of all support for Israel’s war machine;
2. An end to provocations and threats against Iran, including sanctions and covert attacks;
3. A full international investigation into war crimes by Israel and its allies;
4. Formation of a Global South-led bloc to challenge the G7’s imperialist hegemony;
5. A robust and united response by the OIC and NAM to protect the sovereignty of Muslim nations.

The G7 has lost all credibility. The Muslim world and the oppressed peoples globally must rise to build an alternative international order based on justice, dignity, and genuine peace.

MAPIM will intensify its global advocacy, civil resistance, and international diplomacy to confront this systemic injustice and to demand accountability from war criminals and their enablers.
