URGENT CALL FROM MAPIM

To the United Nations and All World Governments to Protect the Global Sumud Flotilla*

The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) calls upon the international community, the United Nations, and all responsible governments to take immediate action to protect the Global Sumud Flotilla, the civilian convoy en route to Gaza carrying humanitarian aid.

Any attack on these civilian convoys constitutes a blatant violation of international law and poses a direct threat to the lives of unarmed civilians. Protecting civilians and ensuring the safe delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged people of Gaza is an urgent moral and humanitarian obligation.

MAPIM emphasizes that continued international silence encourages further violations and urges all parties to:

1. Take immediate measures to ensure the safety of all civilian convoys.
2. Hold accountable those responsible for any attacks on civilians or humanitarian missions.
3. Support international measures to prevent further escalation of violence and to uphold international humanitarian law.

Protecting the lives of civilians in Gaza is a shared responsibility of the international community, and any inaction constitutes a neglect of moral and humanitarian duties.
