*ISRAEL’S 47 CEASEFIRE VIOLATIONS PROVE THAT THE WAR ON GAZA HAS NEVER TRULY ENDED
Date: 18 October 2025
For Immediate Release*
The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) strongly condemns the 47 Israeli violations committed after the official announcement of the end of the war on Gaza, resulting in the martyrdom of 38 Palestinians and injury of 143 civilians, as reported by the Government Media Office in Gaza.
This deliberate and systematic aggression once again proves that Israel’s declaration of ceasefire is a deception — a political maneuver to appease international pressure while continuing its campaign of killing, intimidation, and displacement against the Palestinian people.
MAPIM condemns these renewed attacks, which include direct gunfire on civilians, tank shelling of residential areas, drone attacks, and arbitrary arrests, all carried out after the ceasefire decision was announced. These actions represent a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention which protects civilians in times of conflict.
A Ceasefire in Words, But a War in Practice
MAPIM President Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid stated:
“Israel’s actions demonstrate absolute contempt for international law and for the lives of innocent Palestinians. A ceasefire that continues to produce martyrs every day is not peace — it is hypocrisy. The war has never truly ended; it has simply changed its disguise.”
He added that Israel’s ongoing use of military tanks, armed drones, and remote targeting systems around residential zones clearly indicates a continuation of occupation policy through intimidation and collective punishment. The targeting of civilians even after a ceasefire announcement exposes Israel’s intent to maintain control over Gaza by terrorizing its population into submission.
A Call to the International Community
MAPIM calls upon:
- The United Nations and the guarantor states of the ceasefire (Qatar, Egypt, and the United States) to intervene immediately to compel Israel to stop its continuing aggression.
- The International Criminal Court (ICC) to expedite war crime investigations against Israeli military and political leaders responsible for the post-ceasefire massacres.
- All humanitarian and civil society organizations to document and publicize these violations as evidence of Israel’s systematic disregard for human life and international norms.
- Muslim and non-aligned nations to impose coordinated diplomatic and economic sanctions against Israel until it ceases all forms of aggression in Gaza. MAPIM’s Position
MAPIM reiterates that Israel’s repeated breaches of agreements prove one undeniable truth: Zionist Israel cannot be trusted in any deal, truce, or negotiation.
Every ceasefire announced by Israel becomes another phase of calculated violence — executed under the world’s watch, and tolerated by global powers who remain complicit through their silence.
MAPIM stands in full solidarity with the Government Media Office in Gaza, and with every institution documenting these crimes under fire. The organization pledges to raise this issue through its international humanitarian partners and to advocate for an urgent global response to protect the besieged people of Gaza.
“Israel’s ceasefire is a lie written in Palestinian blood. The world must no longer be silent in the face of this continuing genocide.”
