MAPIM PRESS STATEMENT

MAPIM strongly condemns the continued, deliberate massacres by the Israeli occupation forces targeting starving civilians in Gaza under the false pretense of humanitarian aid distribution. The recent carnage near the so-called “American-Israeli aid” center in Rafah on June 3, which left 27 civilians martyred and over 90 injured, marks a chilling escalation of an already systematic campaign of extermination.
Since the operation of these so-called aid centers began in Rafah and the Wadi Gaza Bridge area on May 27, 2025, the death toll has reached 102 martyrs and 490 wounded. These sites, set up in Israeli-controlled red zones, are not humanitarian relief locations — they are engineered death traps.
Despite being labeled as humanitarian efforts, these centers are entirely controlled by the Israeli occupation, supported logistically by an American private security firm, and lack any independent humanitarian oversight. These acts amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity, as defined under international law.
MAPIM Urgent Demands and Position:
- Immediate International Military Intervention
We call upon the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Arab League, and UN member states to deploy international protection forces to Gaza immediately. The killing fields masquerading as aid centers must be dismantled, and international troops must be sent in to protect civilians.
- Hold the U.S. and Israel Accountable
The United States — as a strategic and operational partner in this massacre — bears direct responsibility. The use of food as a weapon in a campaign of deliberate starvation and execution constitutes genocide under Article II of the Genocide Convention (1948).
- Reject the “Humanitarian Corridor” Lie
We reject the notion of “buffer zones” or “safe corridors” established by the occupiers. These are death corridors, designed to herd civilians into killing zones, and must be immediately dismantled. No international agency should legitimize these structures.
- Unconditional Aid Access
We demand the opening of all official crossings, free from Israeli control or interference, and the full delivery of aid through UN agencies and independent international humanitarian organizations.
- International Investigation and Justice
We call for the formation of an independent international inquiry, under the supervision of the UN Human Rights Council, to document the massacres and initiate legal proceedings against all responsible actors — political, military, and corporate.
- Global Complicity Through Silence
The failure of the international community to act is tantamount to complicity. This silence emboldens genocide and will be remembered as one of the darkest failures of humanity.
“We have moved from famine to firing squads. The world must now move from condemnation to action.”
Send in peacekeeping troops now. Break the siege. End the massacre.
