THE WORLD MUST JOIN THE MADLEEN FREEDOM FLOTILLA COALITION BY THE THOUSANDS – ISRAEL MUST FACE THE WORLD NOW
The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) calls upon civil society groups, human rights defenders, governments, and freedom-loving people across the globe to rise in solidarity and join the Madleen Freedom Flotilla in massive numbers. It is time the world confronts the Israeli regime with collective defiance and an unyielding moral stand.
The Gaza Freedom Flotilla, led by the civilian vessel “MV Madleen”, represents a bold act of humanitarian resistance against Israel’s genocidal siege of Gaza. The flotilla is not merely about delivering aid—it is about breaking the illegal blockade and asserting the right of Palestinians to live in dignity and freedom.
ISRAEL’S BRUTALITY EXPOSED, GLOBAL RESPONSE NEEDED
The Israeli occupation forces’ criminal attack on the unarmed humanitarian vessel “MV Akdeniz”, and the unlawful detention of international activists, doctors, parliamentarians, and journalists, is an outrageous act of crime against humamity.
THE MADLEEN FREEDOM FLOTILLA: A GLOBAL SYMBOL OF CIVIL COURAGE
The Madleen Freedom Flotilla Coalition has emerged as a powerful symbol of global civil resistance—uniting activists, faith leaders, healthcare workers, journalists, and politicians from across continents. This is a coalition of conscience, sailing not only for Gaza but for the soul of humanity.
The Madleen vessel is not alone—it carries with it the hope of billions who reject war crimes, apartheid, and occupation. It sails in the legacy of past flotillas like the Mavi Marmara, and in the tradition of people-powered movements that once dismantled colonialism and apartheid regimes.
We declare:
If Israel can terrorize the sea, we will turn the sea into a highway of liberation.
MAPIM’S CALL TO THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY: FIVE URGENT DEMANDS
- Immediate International Protection for the Flotilla and Its Participants
We demand that the United Nations and the International Maritime Organization (IMO) establish a protective protocol for humanitarian flotillas entering Gaza waters under the Geneva Conventions.
- Full Accountability for Israel’s Piracy and Violations of International Law
Israel must be sanctioned and investigated by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for its unlawful attacks on civilian maritime missions and its ongoing siege on Gaza.
- Recognition of the Flotilla as a Legal Humanitarian Civilian Mission
The world must recognize that this flotilla is not a political provocation, but a legitimate civilian response to a humanitarian catastrophe.
- Regional Governments Must Provide Diplomatic and Naval Support
MAPIM calls on Malaysia, Türkiye, Indonesia, South Africa, Algeria, Iran, and others to consider dispatching escort ships or naval observers to protect future flotillas from Israeli aggression.
- Open the Seaport of Gaza Permanently
The siege must end. The Gaza port must be declared an international humanitarian entry point and protected by an international peace force.
THE FLOTTILA IS JUST THE BEGINNING – MOBILIZE EVERY PORT, EVERY MOSQUE, EVERY STREET
This is not a singular campaign. The Madleen is only the spark. MAPIM is launching a global mobilization strategy to ensure every port in the Muslim world and the Global South becomes a launching point for aid and defiance.
We urge:
- Mosques, churches, temples, and synagogues to organize prayers and solidarity actions for Gaza and the flotilla.
- Harbor cities around the world to host symbolic flotilla launches and flotilla awareness events.
- Trade unions and dockworkers’ alliances to refuse handling of Israeli ships and cargo in ports worldwide.
Let every act—on land or sea—become a wave that pushes the siege of Gaza to its collapse.
FROM THE MALAY ARCHIPELAGO TO GAZA – OUR SOLIDARITY IS UNSHAKEABLE
MAPIM pledges to:
●Continue sending Malaysian humanitarian volunteers and delegations to join the flotilla.
●Mobilize financial, logistical, and medical resources to support future flotilla efforts.
●Work with regional and international civil society partners to intensify the global BDS movement and pressure international bodies to act.
We declare:
Gaza is not alone. Palestine is not alone. Humanity will not be silenced.
The Madleen Freedom Flotilla must be joined, defended, and multiplied. Let the whole world rise and turn the tide of history.
