MAPIM: TRUMP IS TURNING THE UNITED STATES INTO A MAFIA STATE
January 4, 2026SEBAB SEBENAR AMERIKA SERANG VENEZUELA
January 4, 2026STATEMENT BY MALAYSIAN NGOs and Politicians
4th January 2026
For Endorsement ;
ON UNITED STATES MILITARY AGGRESSION* AGAINST VENEZUELA AND THE CAPTURE OF PRESIDENTNICOLÁS MADURO
We the Malaysian Ngos , politicians , activists and intellectuals strongly condemn the reported large scale military strikes carried out by the United States against the sovereign territory of Venezuela, and the public claim by United States President Donald Trump that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife were forcibly captured and removed from the country.
This action constitutes a grave act of military aggression, an illegal intervention, and a direct assault on the sovereignty and political independence of a United Nations member state.
A CLEAR VIOLATION OF INTERNATIONAL LAW
We affirm that the reported strikes and the abduction of a sitting head of state represent a blatant violation of international law, including:
Article 2(4) of the United Nations Charter, which prohibits the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state.
■The principle of sovereign equality of state
■The absolute prohibition of regime change through military force
■No unilateral claim of “law enforcement”, political justification, or narrative of moral superiority can legitimize the bombing of a sovereign nation or the forcible removal of its leadership.
SOVEREIGNTY AGGRESSION AND A DANGEROUS GLOBAL PRECEDENT
This act reflects a dangerous pattern where powerful states assume the right to overthrow governments they oppose.
Such behaviour undermines the foundations of the international order and reduces international law to a selective tool applied only to weaker nations.
If left unchallenged, this precedent threatens all developing countries and accelerates a global descent into lawlessness, coercion, and perpetual conflict.
REJECTION OF FORCED REGIME CHANGE
We reject the doctrine of regime change imposed through military violence.
History has repeatedly shown that such actions result in institutional collapse, prolonged instability, civilian suffering, and regional chaos, not justice or peace.
■Justice cannot be delivered through bombs.
■Accountability cannot be enforced through invasion.
■Democracy cannot be built on the ruins of sovereignty.
CALL FOR IMMEDIATE INTERNATIONAL ACTION
We call upon:
●The United Nations Security Council and General Assembly to convene an emergency session on this act of aggression
●The UN Secretary General to invoke urgent preventive and investigative mechanisms under the UN Charter
●The International Court of Justice to examine violations of international law and state responsibility
●Regional and international bodies, including the Global South, Non Aligned Movement, and human rights institutions, to issue firm and principled condemnations
●Independent international observers to assess civilian casualties, infrastructure damage, and humanitarian impact
Silence in the face of such aggression would amount to complicity.
DEFENCE OF SELF DETERMINATION
●We affirm that the future of Venezuela must be determined solely by the Venezuelan people through lawful, peaceful, and sovereign processes.
●Political disagreements must be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy, not missiles, sanctions, or abductions.
OUR POSITION
We reiterate that:
■Sovereignty is inviolable
No state has the right to unilaterally attack or remove another country’s leadership
■International law must apply equally to all nations, without exception
■The erosion of these principles threatens not only Venezuela, but the very foundation of global peace and justice.
CONCLUSION
This reported act marks a serious escalation in the normalization of aggression and impunity.
The international community must respond decisively to prevent the collapse of the rules based international order.
We stand in solidarity with the people of Venezuela in defense of sovereignty, dignity, and the rule of international law.
