ANNEXATION OF KASHMIR BY INDIA FOLLOWS ISRAEL MODEL – UN MUST INTERVENE

We urge the UN who rejects the israel annexation plan of West Bank to make a firm stand on the annexation of Kashmir by India.

Since the 1947 until the latest domicile law enacted by India, Kashmir has faced immense brutality and suppression.

With the domicle law , india has granted 25,000 people domicile certificates in Indian occupied Kashmir since May 18.

This raise fears of the beginning of demographic changes in the Muslim-majority Himalayan region.

The law is a clear move to gradually sideline the local population in many sectors that has been reserved for them all this while.

In fact India has agressively revoked the semi-autonomous status of the region, and scrapped the local special citizenship law, guaranteed under Article 35 (A) of the Indian constitution.

The move has drawn parallel with the occupied West Bank.

Just as israel do not show any sign of retreating from the annexation plan , india will not restore the rights of all the people of Kashmir.

India has suppressed dissent, brutally crackdown on peaceful protests while shutting down communication in Kashmir.

We are alarmed at the deafening silence of the world community while Kashmir is becoming another Palestine.

Providing non-Kashmiri residents with a domicile certificate is the beginning of Kashmir becoming another Palestine.

India’s annexation of Kashmir seems to be legalized which has created fear for Kashmiris even in their homes.

The annexation plan of Kashmir by india starts with de-populating the locals and pushing up the non residents population from india to dominate Kashmir.

When Article 35 (A) was abolished, settling and claiming government jobs for Indians began to be commenced.

Amid the pandemic, the india government notified domicile laws making an unspecified number of outsiders eligible for residency and jobs.

We are outraged by the disastrous’ move if the annexation of Kashmir is allowed. Kashmir is carved by india without the consent of the people and this is a crime against international law.

We cannot but conclude that the reversal of the demography of the Kashmir population is an annexation plan by india.

Effectively the new domicile rules has turned Jammu and Kashmir from a state into a union administered region by New Delhi.

We condemn unreservedly the detention of prominent Kashmiri leaders who opposed the stripping of the region’s special status by the Hindu nationalist government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Their resistence is legitimate and they should be accepted as freedom fighters, not terrorist.

We strongly opposed the changes as we could see the nefarious design behind the domicile rule.

The Indian government claim that the move to change the status of Kashmir was done to integrate the Muslim-majority region with the rest of the country in order to bring development is nothing more than a deception.

We believe that the unilateral actions of 5 August 2019 is aimed to change the demographic structure of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and turn Kashmiris into a minority in their own land.

This has long been part of the RSS-BJP’s ‘Hindutva’ agenda.

Since May 18, when the domicle rule were notified, 33,000 people had applied for the domicile certificates. Out of them, 25,000 people have been granted residency rights, he said.

Under the pressure of gun and state violence, Kashmiris are facing the same predicament as Palestinians are under israel state terrorism.

We demand UN to intervene and pressure india to halt the demographic undermining of Jammu Kashmir.

We reiterate the long delayed plebiscite must be implemented to allow Kashmiris to determine their own future.
