MEMO TO INDIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER AND CONDEMNATION KILLING OF MUSLIMS IN INDIA

Today we delivered a memorandum to the High Commissioner of India in Malaysia , Mr BN Reddy to be forwarded to Mr Narendra Modi , Prime Minister of India , our strong protest against the hate campaign that is now being fueled in India by Hindu nationalist groups that are targetting Muslims .

We regret that the High Commissioner had refused to receive the Memorandum and notified the police to halt us from entering the building.

The delegates who attended the handing over at the High Commission of India Kuala Lumpur consist representatives of 5 organizations : MAPIM , SHURA , MHO , SEMBOYAN and IMIM .

We condemn the arrogance of the HC office of India for dismissing our intention to register our protest on the open pronouncement by a group of Hindu nationalists to launch a genocide against Muslims who are citizens of India.

It is unbecoming of India of persistently claiming to champion itself as the biggest democracy in the world and yet refuse to accept a civil society’s expression of protesting a murderous policy through hate speeches in India.

We registered our deep concern and abhorence on the escallating hate speeches and terrorizing Muslims and other minorities in India.

Recently incidences of public lynching of Muslims have been on the rise.

We condemn strongly the killing of a Muslim youth and another seriously injured in an attack by RSS goons in Karnataka’s Naragund.

The immediate incident was after an anti-Muslim event and hate speeches held in Hawidwar 17 – 19 th December 2021.

In the incident , a clear indication was that all those calls for genocide are not mere speeches; there are people ready to practically implement it.

We demand the Indian authorities to take appropriate measures to stop this criminal assault on Muslim communities as a result of the hate speeches.

If unabated there will be an escalation of bloodshed and Muslims around the world will put the Indian government fully accountable.

The hate speeches are clearly sending a message of war against the Muslims. The potential repeat of the Babri Mosque attack killing 2,000 mostly Muslims in 1992 , the Gujarat massacre also killed 2,000 majority Muslims in 2002 , the New Delhi riot 2020 are dangerous. Instability of India if communal clashes occur will set fire to the whole sub-continent.

While Muslims have the right to defend themselves , the BJP government and the RSS extremist group are condoning the hate campaign. They are instigating the Hindus to violate the law .

We abhore this ruthless and brutal assault against the Muslims and all minorities in India which is against the secular principles of the Indian constitution.

We call for concrete actions to be deployed to curtail the imminent bloodshed.

Muslims around the world should be alerted and concerns to protect the defenseless Muslims should be a uniting factor for Muslims worldwide .
