PRESS RELEASE
3rd March 2025
The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) congratulates the joint Palestinian-Israeli team behind the documentary “No Other Land” for winning the Best Documentary Feature at the 97th Academy Awards. This groundbreaking film unveils the harsh truth that Israel seeks to conceal—the forced eviction of Palestinians from their homes in the occupied West Bank.
Filmed between 2019 and 2023, “No Other Land” chronicles the illegal displacement of Palestinian communities in Masafer Yatta, where Israeli authorities demolish homes and expel families under the pretense of military expansion. The film serves as undeniable evidence of Israel’s continued war crimes and the systematic oppression of the Palestinian people.
MAPIM DEMANDS GLOBAL ACTION & WORLDWIDE SCREENING
MAPIM calls upon:
- Governments, universities, and human rights organizations to screen “No Other Land” globally, ensuring the world sees the truth about Israel’s apartheid policies.
- The United Nations and International Criminal Court (ICC) to take urgent action against Israel’s ethnic cleansing in the West Bank.
- The global film and media industry to amplify Palestinian voices and expose Israeli atrocities through documentaries and investigative journalism.
- Muslim nations and international human rights bodies to sanction Israel for its blatant violations of international law. TRUTH CANNOT BE SILENCED
The Oscar win for “No Other Land” is a historic moment in the struggle for Palestinian justice. The film must be seen worldwide to counter the propaganda that seeks to erase Palestinian suffering.
MAPIM stands in solidarity with the Palestinian people and urges all justice-loving individuals and institutions to support and promote this documentary as a powerful tool for awakening global consciousness.
SCREEN IT. SHARE IT. SPREAD THE TRUTH.
