The Malaysian Consultative Council for Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) firmly asserts that the world must not delay or seek approval from Donald Trump or any other foreign power to begin the urgent reconstruction of Gaza. The suffering of the Palestinian people has reached an unbearable level, and immediate action is required to restore basic infrastructure, homes, and medical facilities destroyed by the relentless Israeli aggression.
We strongly call on Arab nations to implement the Arab Plan for Gaza without hesitation. The continuous waiting for political signals from external powers only prolongs the devastation and deepens the humanitarian crisis. The international community must recognize that the rebuilding of Gaza is not a political bargaining chip but a moral and humanitarian obligation.
The blockade, systematic destruction, and denial of fundamental rights to the people of Gaza cannot be tolerated any longer. The Arab and Muslim world, along with all nations that uphold justice and human dignity, must unite to:
- Immediately Mobilize Reconstruction Efforts – The necessary funds and resources must be deployed now to rebuild homes, hospitals, and schools.
- Break the Siege on Gaza – Humanitarian aid must be allowed to enter freely without restrictions or political conditions.
- Hold Israel Accountable for War Crimes – The destruction of Gaza is a crime against humanity, and those responsible must face legal consequences.
- Reject External Dictation on Palestinian Sovereignty – Gaza’s reconstruction and future must be determined by the Palestinian people, not foreign leaders pursuing their own political interests.
MAPIM urges the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Arab League, and all relevant bodies to act with urgency. The time for mere statements and diplomatic delays is over. The world must stand with the people of Gaza and take immediate steps to rebuild what has been unjustly destroyed.
