GLOBAL MOSQUES, RISE UP!
OVER 1,000 MOSQUES IN GAZA DESTROYED BY ISRAEL — WILL THE UMMAH REMAIN SILENT?
An Emergency Call from MAPIM and MANAR – The Global Alliance of Mosques in Defense of Al-Aqsa
The Muslim Ummah must rise without delay!
Recent reports confirm that over 1,000 mosques have been destroyed by the Israeli Zionist regime since their brutal onslaught on Gaza began on 7 October 2023.
Most recently, Al-Faraj Mosque in the Nuseirat refugee camp was completely bombed by Israeli warplanes, injuring many Palestinian civilians, including women and children. All victims are now being treated at Al-Awda Hospital.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, as of February, 1,109 out of 1,244 mosques in Gaza have been completely or partially destroyed. Churches have also been deliberately targeted. This relentless campaign is a clear attempt to erase the religious, spiritual, and communal identity of the Palestinian people.
Since October 2023, more than 60,000 Palestinians — the vast majority of them women and children — have been killed. Israel’s ongoing attacks have even violated a ceasefire agreement reached in January. In November 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity — yet the atrocities continue unabated.
Will the mosques of the world remain silent?
Will the Ummah accept the destruction of the Houses of Allah without response?
We call on MOSQUES ACROSS THE WORLD TO RISE AND TAKE ACTION NOW!
OUR CALL TO ACTION:
- Raise the Palestinian flag and display banners saying “Save Gaza” at all mosques.
- Hold Qunut Nazilah and special prayers in every congregational prayer.
- Declare Fridays as “Yaum al-Ghadab” (Day of Muslim Anger) — globally.
- Mobilize Friday sermons, talks, and religious classes to speak up for Gaza and expose Israeli crimes.
- Demand decisive action from the OIC, the Arab League, and all Muslim governments — not just empty rhetoric.
- Launch donation drives, emergency aid campaigns, and public awareness programs from every mosque.
Mosques are not merely places of worship — they are fortresses of Muslim dignity and unity.
If more than 1,000 mosques have been destroyed, a million others must rise — with our voices, our prayers, and our actions!
END THE SIEGE. STOP THE MASSACRE. FREE GAZA.
