MAPIM’S GLOBAL CALL TO ACTION
“THE WORLD MUST ACT – DEFY ISRAEL’S IRONCLAD VIOLATION OF INTERNATIONAL LAW”
MADLEEN 2.0 & HUNDREDS MORE MUST SAIL TO BREAK THE SIEGE ON GAZA
KUALA LUMPUR | 10 JUNE 2025 – The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organisations (MAPIM) urgently calls on the international community, civil society movements, governments, and humanitarian coalitions to mobilize and launch a massive global flotilla movement in response to the illegal seizure of the “Madleen” humanitarian ship by Israel.
MAPIM declares: Enough is enough. The siege on Gaza must be broken.
The Zionist regime’s act of piracy in international waters by intercepting and arresting peace activists aboard the Madleen is not only a crime under international law, but also a direct attack on global humanitarian values and the right to resist oppression.
This is not merely about a ship. This is about the conscience of the world.
MADLEEN 2.0 – A GLOBAL MOVEMENT BEGINS
MAPIM calls for the immediate preparation and launch of “Madleen 2.0” – a coordinated international humanitarian flotilla, involving:
●Hundreds of ships under different banners and nations.
●Thousands of peace activists, medical volunteers, scholars, artists, parliamentarians, and journalists.
●Massive aid cargo – food, medical supplies, tents, water, fuel – symbolizing the world’s will to defy tyranny.
This global movement must be multi-sectoral and transnational, proving that Israel cannot blockade the will of humanity.
MAPIM URGES THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS IMMEDIATELY:
- Formation of an International Gaza Flotilla Coalition – bringing together NGOs, parliamentarians, trade unions, and faith-based organizations.
- Maritime Action Coordination – mobilizing ports and shipping companies across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America to prepare vessels.
- United Nations Action – immediate tabling of a UN Security Council resolution to demand the release of Madleen’s activists and guarantee protection of future humanitarian missions.
- Governmental Pressure – all governments must summon Israeli envoys and demand accountability. The diplomatic community must reject Israel’s impunity.
- People’s Mobilization – protests, mass petitions, and symbolic ship send-offs must be organized in major global cities. MAPIM’S MESSAGE TO THE WORLD
We must not normalize Israel’s blockade on Gaza. We must not accept that ships bringing food and medicine are met with guns and arrest.
If Israel can illegally block one ship, let the world respond with a hundred more. If they silence one mission, let a thousand voices rise. If they fear one act of defiance, let us show them a united global uprising of moral courage.
History will remember not only the atrocities, but also those who refused to stay silent.
Break the Siege. Launch Madleen 2.0. Humanity must sail.
