MAPIM: THE CONTINUED STRANGULATION OF GAZA A VIOLATION OF HUMANITY AND INTERNATIONAL LAW
Date: 9 November 2025 | Kuala Lumpur
By: Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM)
The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) strongly condemns the continued policy of strangulation imposed by the Israeli occupation on the Gaza Strip, as revealed in the latest report by the Government Media Office in Gaza on 6 November 2025.
Despite the declared ceasefire, only 4,453 trucks of aid have entered Gaza out of 15,600 expected, representing a mere 28% of the agreed amount. This is a blatant breach of the ceasefire terms and the humanitarian framework agreed upon by mediators. The data clearly exposes Israel’s ongoing strategy of starvation, collective punishment, and political blackmail under the pretext of “security control.”
Even the limited trucks allowed contained only symbolic quantities of essential goods — 31 trucks of cooking gas and 84 trucks of diesel fuel — grossly inadequate to operate hospitals, bakeries, and vital services for a population of over 2.4 million Palestinians. The deliberate deprivation of over 350 essential food and medical items, including protein and dairy sources, confirms that Israel is implementing a starvation-engineering policy, weaponizing food and aid to subjugate an entire people.
MAPIM’s Position:
- Israel is in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, including the Geneva Conventions, which strictly prohibit the targeting of civilians and the use of starvation as a method of warfare.
- The silence and complicity of the international community, particularly the UN and Western powers, amount to moral endorsement of genocide by slow death.
- The ceasefire is meaningless if humanitarian corridors remain blocked and Gaza continues to be strangled economically and medically.
- MAPIM reiterates its call for an international humanitarian intervention, under UN and OIC auspices, to ensure the free and safe passage of at least 600 aid trucks daily into Gaza.
- We urge Muslim governments and civil society worldwide to escalate diplomatic and economic pressure on Israel, including coordinated boycotts, sanctions, and legal action at the International Criminal Court (ICC). A Humanitarian and Moral Emergency
The current situation in Gaza is not a humanitarian challenge — it is a moral test for humanity. Two years of continuous genocide, siege, and deliberate deprivation have transformed Gaza into an open-air prison where the people are punished simply for existing.
MAPIM affirms its full solidarity with the people of Gaza and will continue to coordinate with partner organizations in Egypt, Turkey, Qatar, and across Asia for the continuous delivery of aid through the MAPIM Humanitarian Corridor Initiative, despite the severe restrictions.
MAPIM calls on all nations, NGOs, and international agencies to treat this situation not as charity work, but as an urgent duty to uphold international law and defend human life against systematic state terrorism.
